GLASS

Glass is an ancient material, one of the most ancient known and used by man. The first glass used was natural obsidian, aka volcanic glass, used to make arrowheads, knives, jewelry, etc. Obsidian is some pretty potent energy packing stuff that also creates a shield around your aura. Glass objects created of man-made glass date back to 4500 BC in Mesopotamia and ancient Kemet. Glass is a melding of the traditional four elements, because through fire and air the silica earth element is made molten and transmuted into a liquid only to return to its earthly state as an apparent solid.  It can be made to focus light or allow light to pass through invisibly or carry light-waves great distances through tiny strands.  Metaphysically, glass represents and carries the energies of transformation, merging of elements, alchemy, rebirth, reflection, focus and communication. Flattens and grounds energy and can be used as a shield, reducing sensitivity and awareness. Brass is not generally used for healing; it is used for its ability to dull or block energy. It is a common alloy made by combining Copper and Zinc therefore containing the properties of both base metals. It’s recommended by healers as helpful to people who have unusually high levels of metal in their bloodstream, since it is a blood cleanser and detoxifier. Brass is also used for hair loss. It does, however, attract health and wealth to its wearer.

Copper, in spiritual alchemy, represents experiences with love, sympathy and affection. The world would be a harsh, bleak land without the refining influence of copper.
